Billy & Erin Lane's Sons of Speed Races are returning to the New Smyrna Speedway on Saturday March 17, 2018.
Once again, the riders in the board track will be riding bikes powered by original engines built before 1929. There is also a new 45 Shoot Out Class for 45 ci side valve racers. If all goes well in practice I will be riding my 1921 Harley-Davidson in the early board class.
Come by and say Hi at the Meet & Greet with the riders starting @ noon.

ReplyDeleteSorry for the delay in responding Greg, but I picked up a bad case of the flu and brought it back from Daytona. My 1921 H-D single finished 3rd in the older 61ci Heat Race, but scoring transposed my number 76, with the rider behind me on #67, to the heat. By the time I was informed by the Race Director, the race was going to the grid, and it was too late to change it. That rider is a friend of mine, who drove 2 days to race, so I let it go. We will be back in October with a special 4 OHV valve cylinder, that should be much faster. Hope so!
